The saguaro (pron.: /sΙΛwΙroΚ/; scientific name Carnegiea gigantea) is a large, tree-sized cactus species in the monotypic genus Carnegiea, which can grow to be over 20 meters (~70 ft) tall. It is native to the Sonoran Desert in the U.S. state of Arizona, the Mexican state of Sonora, and the Whipple Mountains and Imperial County areas of California. The saguaro blossom is the State Wildflower of Arizona.
Photography has always been my passion for as far back as I can remember. I look at the world through my camera and try to capture what I see as the beauty in the world. Living in Arizona offers me a wide variety of photo opportunities of the beautiful US Southwest. My love for nature has found me photographing a variety of subjects from nature landscapes to wild animals in the Southwest. On occasion you will find me shooting a concert or two and even some portraits, but nature photography is where you will find me at home.
