You are so welcome Saija! My pleasure to comment on such beauty. My favorite Prickly Pear is the Santa Rita Prickly Pear with those lemony yellow flowers. So complementary against the purple pads, much easier to approach due to the lack of spines, but still having the glochids. ๐Janet

Just beautiful Sonja, as is all your artwork. They remind me of the flowers of the Tulip Prickly Pear Cactus, although the Long-Spined have that purplish coloring. My Long-spined, with those 4" long spines, don't seem to flower as does my Engelmann Prickly Pear and Tulip Prickly do. I love how you captured these in a row of three.
